lyrics
The hunt goes on and on and I cannot but feel the grief
The price is out there but I dwell in disbelief
This sickening solstice kills my inner warlike peace
But the oath abides me, the witch commands me
My memory, my misery, my remedy
Allani maailma, sen veri ja varjot
My memory, my misery, my remedy
Allani maailma, sen veri ja varjot
Listen when I speak, you’re the undead
I’ll never greet you again
I’m at the end again and the end is a getaway from the rain
You cannot follow me, for you are here to stay
Spread the word of an ancient way
Osiris, Osiris, take this blood as yours
Queen Isis, hent-Aset, greet me as your own
In the end
My memory, my misery, my remedy
Allani maailma, sen veri ja varjot
My memory, my misery, my remedy
Allani maailma, sen veri ja varjot
Promises of a better end, shattering
I am to be on the other side, other side
My memory, my misery, my remedy
Allani maailma, sen veri ja varjot
My memory, my misery, my remedy
Allani maailma, sen veri ja varjot
Blackbraid quickly followed up their 2022 debut in 2023 with more native folk infused furious black metal. This is by no means a sophomore slump as it is equally excellent, methodical, melodical, and approachable as the first record. 9/10 RJ
A captivating combination of genres – essentially proggy death metal. A seamless 60 minutes full of musical ideas. A little noodly at times, but I enjoy the clean guitar work. Lyrically, it sits somewhere between nihilism and humanism – anti-religion, but more broadly institutional than the typical metal fare. There's a relish to the violence against women imagery in "Slave" which I don't enjoy, but on the whole this album stands up to scrutiny from most directions. Certainly not run of the mill Luke
Finnish death metallers leaven infernal dynamics with triumphant, infectious melodies, striking a compelling balance between grit and grace. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2023
The Army of Gaia stormed into Switzerland a few weeks back (on tour with Vader and Vomitory) and the Greek Gods Aetherian completely overwhelmed me with joy! Damn this is good! Melodic DM masterpiece indeed! I really love all songs but am really obsessed with the first four. Can't wait to see them live on stage again soon! Fans of Rotting Christ would like these Greek guys too :) sachavonkarl74
